City church Denver meets in the south west corner of First Ave and Acoma Street. There is a small parking lot, and plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. Parking is free at meters on Sundays
Worship Guide
Many of us are unfamiliar with the use of a structured liturgy (order) in worship. The word liturgy means “the work of the people.” It points us to worship as an act rather than as an experience. The experience comes as a result of the act; for we have come to worship and the blessings we receive are in response to what we have given.
Teaching
The teaching within City Church Denver is an opportunity to be fed by the Word of God. Not through the authority or elegance of the minister or the words spoken, but the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the hearts and minds of those listening. We believe the Spirit is always speaking to all believers, and the teaching on Sunday morning provides another opportunity for us to encounter God’s Word for us.

Children
We believe that children can truly know God, and should be encouraged at a young age to worship with the rest of the community. Although they may not be able to understand or participate in every aspect of the service, they often absorb more than we give them credit for. However, we recognize that many parents of infants and toddlers prefer to have childcare assistance during worship.
Our Nursery is available for infants and toddlers during the service. The nursery is found in the lower level (below the sanctuary) accessed by the South East front entrance, or the back left doors of the sanctuary. Parents may pick up their children from the nursery at the end of the sermon to bring them up for a blessing during Communion.
Children’s Church is offered for children ages three through six. Children attend the beginning part of worship services with their parents and leave before the Passing of the Peace for an age-appropriate worship time with separate teachings for the different ages. This time is designed to help kids understand how to participate in worship with the rest of the church by teaching them songs from our services, preparing them to serve the community on family Sunday, as well as a short story or teaching point that launches the week’s family devotionals (Worship Training). The leaders return them to the service at the end of the sermon prior to Communion.
Kid’s Club is offered the first Sunday of the month for children in 1st-5th grade. Similar to Children’s Church, children attend the beginning part of the worship service with their parents and leave before the Passing of the Peace. Kid’s Club is a continuation of learning from Children’s Church with age-appropriate lessons and activities.
Though we offer these separate environments, we encourage families to worship together for our main service.
